UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE
A ten-minute walk away, you’ll find the historic village of Valldemossa, surrounded by lush olive and almond trees. This small municipality in the Sierra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, just 17 kilometers from Palma, is famous for its cobbled streets – untouched by time – full of cafes, shops, and art galleries. Valldemossa owes its popularity to the legendary composer Frédéric Chopin, who spent the winter of 1838-39 here with his lover, writer George Sand.
